Selective Pallet Racking: Selective pallet racking is one of the most common types of industrial racking. It consists of upright frames and horizontal beams that create multiple levels of storage for palletized goods. This system allows for direct access to each pallet, making it versatile and suitable for a wide range of products.

Drive-In and Drive-Through Racking: Drive-in and drive-through racking systems are designed for high-density storage of homogeneous products. In these systems, forklifts can drive into the racking structure to place or retrieve pallets. Drive-in racking has a single entry point, while drive-through racking has entry points on both ends, allowing for a first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory rotation.

Push-Back Racking: Push-back racking is a dynamic storage system that utilizes inclined rails and carts. Pallets are loaded onto carts and pushed back into the racking system. When a new pallet is loaded, it pushes the previous pallet back, allowing for dense storage and efficient space utilization. It operates on a last-in, first-out (LIFO) inventory rotation.

Cantilever Racking: Cantilever racking is designed for the storage of long and bulky items, such as lumber, pipes, or metal sheets. It features arms that extend horizontally from vertical columns, providing unobstructed access to stored items. This allows for easy loading and unloading of long, heavy items.

Mezzanine Racking: Mezzanine racking systems utilize the vertical space within a warehouse by installing a raised platform or mezzanine level. This creates additional storage or work areas. Mezzanine racking can be combined with other types of racking systems to maximize storage capacity.

Wire Decking: Wire decking is commonly used with industrial racking systems. It consists of wire mesh panels that sit on the horizontal beams, creating a sturdy and level surface for storing pallets or goods. Wire decking provides ventilation, visibility, and fire safety features.

Safety Features: Industrial racking systems incorporate safety features to ensure the stability and integrity of the racks. These may include column protectors, rack guards, row spacers, and load capacity labels. Regular inspections and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to maintain a safe working environment.
